Once again thank you all... here is the good news!!!

New Archangels: The Saga Movie Trailer
Under Production

In the Summer of 2008 a new trailer for the "ARCHANGELS: THE SAGA™" property was under consideration. After many months of contacting animation studios and endless fund raising efforts the hard work is finally beginning to pay off. A new .30 second to 1:30 trailer is under way... the cost... around $100,000 dollars. That's right... a hundred grand! For 30 seconds??? Crazy one might think!  But that is the price one pays for a quality animation, animation that can and must hold it's own as a theatrical release. The budget is estimated at 7 Million dollars. The (80 minute) animated movie is tentatively scheduled to head for the big screen in October 2011. The treatment for the animated film has been completed, the initial script has been written (first 10 pages) and a couple of concept animation styles have been presented. The initial concept images are posted below. Once the trailer is completed we will bring it to you first here on URCOMIC.COM!

These renderings were submitted by one company to illustrate their style, this has a "Clone Wars" look and feel. There are two other companies that will be submitting new renderings next month. A ten second (360 degree spin) clip of this animation will be available soon. We will have it up in a couple of days.

Quality Product
The people behind the "Archangels" animated film are committed to releasing a "HIGH QUALITY" and very "ENTERTAINING" Christian film with an inspirational message. Geared for the male demographic of 12 - 24 the animated drama plans to deal with serious issues facing today's youth; drinking and driving, suicide kidnapping, murder and a strong message of Hope. Author and Creator Patrick Scott told URCOMIC, "This movie will inspire Christians and Non Christian alike, It will be a powerful tale of Spiritual Warfare". All of us at URCOMIC are looking forward to this animated movie.

Tim Burton's
9
If you like "Tim Burton" films you are probably going to like "9". In a long history of "Non-Traditional" film making like; Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The World of Stainboy, James and the Giant Peach and Bettlejuice, Tim Burton has done it once again... with style. Nine (9) is Burton's latest computer animated film in association with Focus Features.

The Story: When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they'll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them. Written by Focus Features.

You may or may not agree with the content of the film as a Christian but the style and animation are literally out of this world. The monochromatic style, rendering, animation, coloring and lighting is exceptional.

According to IMDB.COM (Link Here) the budget for "9" was $33,000,000. In the first 3 weeks the film has brought in $29,000,000! It is a hit... but why? Is it the style? Coloring? Or storyline? How about all of the above. Nine (9) is a dynamic film on many levels and one that has wonderful coloring, it's own unique style and a pretty good storyline. All of these make the recipe for a good movie. A movie that people will pay to see again and again.

This is the quality and style of film that "Archangels: The Saga" hopes to achieve. The non- traditional animated film that has great coloring, rendering, texturing, exceptional style and an inspirational story with an uplifting ending... not looking for an oscar here... just want to inspire people who spend their hard earned money.

however, nine (9) has done more than just be a good animated film. It has shown the world that a non-traditional film can be a huge box office success. This may inspire Hollywood to take more risks on non-traditional films that have a following or fan base eager to see their film on the big screen.
